Biography
Aliona Shkrum was born on 02 January 1988 in Kyiv.
Education:
In 2010, she graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with honors, obtained a master's degree in International Law, qualified as an international lawyer and a French language interpreter.
In 2012, she graduated from the University of Cambridge with a master's degree in International Law.
Employment history:
2008-2009 - Assistant Attorney at Volkov Koziakov & Partners Law Firm.
2013-2014 - Advising Assistant to the People's Deputy of Ukraine. Advocacy expert at the Right to Protection Charitable Foundation, an implementing partner of UNHCR.
2014-2019 - People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 8th convocation, Chairperson of the Subcommittee on Civil Service and Service in Local Self-Government Bodies of the Committee on State Building, Local Governance, Regional and Urban Development of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
2019-2024 - People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 9th convocation, Member of the Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Co-Chair of the Ukraine-France Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, Secretary of the Ukraine-United Kingdom and Ukraine-Japan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Groups. Member of the Bureau of the Standing Committee on United Nations Affairs of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. Member of the French-speaking Parliamentary Assembly.
03 December 2024 - appointed as the First Deputy Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
