On May 31, the Superhumans Reunion’25 festival took place in Kyiv, bringing together a community of veterans, their families, and everyone who cares about the topic of reintegration and recovery of people with war trauma.

The event was attended by First Lady Olena Zelenska, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration - Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksii Kuleba, Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko, Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Matvii Bidnyi, Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Natalia Kalmykova, representatives of the government, business, public activists, veterans, and Armed Forces.

In total, more than 600 veterans and their families, more than 60 partners, government officials, foreign ambassadors, and Ukrainian artists took part in the festival, which was organized by the Superhumans Center.

The First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, addressed the festival participants.

“When Superhumans was launched two years ago, we interpreted its name like this: Ukrainians are not victims, but superheroes. What unites us is not trauma but overcoming it together. This ‘super’ prefix is not some formal honorary title – it is born of teamwork, resilience, and the commitment of everyone involved to fight. I thank everyone who is working to give our people back their opportunities,” said Olena Zelenska.

The First Lady called on government officials and businesses to help Superhumans Center graduates find their place in life.

In turn, Oleksii Kuleba noted that the state's task today is to ensure that such centers are built in every region, especially in front-line regions.

“Modern medicine should be accessible, dignified and humane – exactly as the Superhumans team embodies it. We are working to ensure that institutions appear in every region that can go through the full path with a person: from surgery to rehabilitation, from pain to returning to life and understanding what to do next. Superhumans is an example of how, in partnership with the state and international donors, a stable and strong support system can be created. And most importantly, this is already an entire community that is growing, sharing experience, and uniting,” Oleksii Kuleba noted.

As part of the event, various locations were open throughout the day at the festival, including master classes, children's workshops, fairs, a food zone, and lectures. Ukrzaliznytsia also joined the festival as an employer - a location was set up where veterans could receive consultations, learn more about employment and development opportunities at Ukrzaliznytsia.

The company invited people to join the ranks of dog handlers and paramilitary security inspectors, and also talked about the services that are available to people with disabilities today: inclusive cars, station assistants, in-app services, etc.
